1. Download Training Manager from the website at:
http://www.kzsoftware.com/products/training-manager/trial.htm
2. Open/Run the setup file, TrainingManagerStandardSetup.exe. or TrainingManagerEnterpriseSetup.exe
3. Follow the instructions in the installation wizard to complete the installation.
Note: Asset Manager requires the .NET framework in order to run. If your computer is missing the .NET framework, the installation program will prompt you to install it.
If you have already purchased a license key, go to the Menu item ***Unlock Trial Mode*** à Enter license key, and enter it in the space provided. The button will remain disabled until the License Key is entered correctly. You may then click on the button to license Training Manager and remove the 10 item trial limitation.
Note that the license key for the Standard Edition will only
work in the Standard Edition of the software.
Likewise, the Enterprise Edition license key will only work in the
Enterprise Edition of the software.

purchase it, or open your web browser and go to: http://www.kzsoftware.com/purchase/training-manager
Navigate through the main screens by clicking on the tabs as shown.
The Course Catalog provides a list of the courses in your database. When you select a Course Category on the left, the courses for that category will be displayed in the list view. Courses may be dragged and dropped from one Category to another by dragging the course from the list view to a different category in the folder hierarchy on the left.
You may also filter the list view by ‘Active’, ‘Inactive’, or ‘All’ using the filter buttons in the upper right corner of the view. Find a Course quickly using the Quick Search box located beneath the Filter buttons.

You may add new Course Categories by right-clicking on the tree view and then choosing, “New Course Category…” from the shortcut menu, or click the “New Course Category” button.
To change the sort order of the list view, click on a column header. Click again to re-sort in the opposite direction, or click another column header to sort by a different column.
Click on a column header and drag it while holding the mouse button down to change the order of the columns in the list view.
The list views throughout Training Manager can also be configured to show only the columns of information that you want displayed. To show different columns in the list view, right-click on the list view and select the option, “Show columns”.
This will open a window which will allow you to select the columns to display.
Select the columns you want to display in the list view, and then click the Ok button.

To add a new course to the database, open the New Course
window by clicking on the New Course button (

The default values that you set on
the Course form for Trainer and
Location will be used on the Class Session
form when a course is selected. The Default Retraining Requirement
will be used when a new assignment is created for the course. Training Manager can automatically
assign a course number, or you may assign your own numbers manually by
entering the number in the space provided. |

The Course header contains the following fields which identify the type of course you’re tracking:

The title of the course up to 100 characters long. |

The category that this course fits in. |

Course Status |
The status of the course (Active/Inactive). Set this field to Inactive when you don’t want to show the course in the list view, but you want to be able to continue to find and report on the past training status for this course. |

Course Number |
The course number uniquely identifies the course. You may enter your own unique course number / code, or Training Manager can assign an automatic number for you. |
